Here are two documents provided to eNews Platinum by the New England Investment Network, a web-based matching service for angel investors seeking investment opportunities and entrepreneurs seeking capital. The website is owned by Angel Investment Network Ltd., a London-based investment company, which shared some of its templates to improve business agreements. Combined, the documents can help start-ups to coordinate their marketing and social media strategies.

The two-page marketing primer (click here) is designed to help launch a new business or grow an existing one by suggesting common marketing mistakes to avoid, including untargeted marketing, copying competitors, failing to track results, relying on a single advertising medium and failing to follow up with existing customers.

The two-page checklist of social media marketing tips (click here) is designed to help start-ups connect with existing potential clients, with a focus more on “engaging” than “selling.” The checklist offers practical tips for businesses to use social media to make themselves more accessible and personable — and build and maintain long-term engagement.
