Matt McNair, a leader of technology transfer efforts at Ohio State University (OSU), is leaving his post to become director of the Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU) Foundation Board of Trustees.

McNair will be leaving his post as president of the Ohio State Innovation Foundation and vice president for economic and corporate engagement at OSU, where he has managed the intellectual property portfolio of technology developed at the university and overseen a range of corporate and civic partnerships to boost OSU’s economic impact.

Over the past decade, McNair has led successful fundraising campaigns of nearly $400 million dollars for the OSU College of Engineering, as well as more than $550 million for the University of Nebraska.

“Matt’s range of experiences, superb leadership skills and impeccable character make him a perfect fit to leade the OHSU Foundation at an important time of transition for the entire university,” says Steve Janik, incoming chair of the OHSU Foundation Board of Trustees. “We are certain Matt will excel in every aspect of the job, from further expanding our fundraising efforts to leading a high-performing team.”

McNair comments, “I have been incredibly impressed with the commitment of everyone I have met to advancing OHSU’s leadership and innovation in health care research and delivery. It’s a tremendous honor to be joining the team that is building ever-greater philanthropic support for those initiatives.” McNair will begin his new role on August 13th.
