Entrepreneurial Scotland (ES), a networking platform aimed at building Scotland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, has partnered with Dundee University to help forge the country’s next generation of business leaders.

The three-year partnership will build on both institutions’ broader strategies to support start-up development. Dundee University will benefit from having access to ES’s global network of business contacts as well as training and support for aspiring entrepreneurs on campus.

“By working together, we can ensure students have the confidence, support and network to achieve their entrepreneurial goals, reinforcing the city’s reputation for creativity and innovation,” says Sandy Kennedy, CEO of ES. “It helps us succeed in our mission to make Scotland the most entrepreneurial society in the world.”

The partnership was signed at Dundee University’s Centre of Entrepreneurship, where a full-time member of the ES staff will now be based.

Andrew Atherton, principal and vice chancellor at Dundee University, comments, “Having a full-time member of ES staff located on campus will bring our organizations closer together, allowing new businesses emerging from both the university and wider Tay Cities region to benefit from leading sector knowledge and expertise.”
