The industry partnerships arm of the University of Arkansas (U of A) has created a new program to encourage researchers to develop commercially viable technologies and pursue innovation collaborations with industry partners.

The Division of Research and Innovation Industry Seed Funding (DRIISF) program will focus on funding and supporting technologies with high potential for securing external funding, either as industry-sponsored research or as joint funding from federal agencies with industry collaborators.

The DRIISF program is accepting proposals from U of A researchers through December 31. Awards are expected to range from $2,500 to $15,000 for a period of performance of up to one year. All university faculty and staff are eligible to apply.
