SUNY Research Foundation and Binghamton U partner with NeuralMetrics to spur innovation in machine learning

The Research Foundation for the State University of New York (SUNY) and Binghamton University have partnered with AI firm NeuralMetrics with the goal of developing new innovations in quantum computing to expand the capabilities of machine learning.

Under the partnership, researchers at Binghamton University and NeuralMetrics will collaborate on a project to develop new quantum algorithms for training advanced language models. The enhancements are expected to outpace classical computing for a range of challenges in the business and science sectors, including data augmentation and complex risk assessments.

“Our ambitious endeavor converges the expertise of Binghamton University in quantum computing and the NeuralMetrics vision for the future of AI,” says Jia Zhao, associate professor and head of the Binghamton University research team. “The project leverages the university’s state-of-the-art resources and the technological insights of NeuralMetrics, underscoring a shared commitment to innovation and academic excellence.”

Marcus Daley, co-founder of NeuralMetrics, comments, “As a significant development in the field of quantum computing and AI, this collaboration is a milestone for the SUNY Research Foundation, Binghamton University, and NeuralMetrics. The outcomes of our joint research can push the possibilities and boundaries of machine learning, opening new avenues for technological advancements.”
