TechPipeline Inc.: Sales Development Representative

 

TechPipeline, Inc. seeks experienced sales professionals to join our growing team. TechPipeline recently acquired Tech Transfer Central, the leading news and market research source for universities and companies transforming the latest technologies into new products. We are investing aggressively to grow the Tech Transfer Central platform with plans to scale marketing and sales operations as well as introduce new product and service offerings.

About the Role

Tech Transfer Central has long been the go-to news source in its industry. In addition, the company offers regular webinars, job postings, and market research. The company’s subscription business for these services is growing over 20% annually on limited sales and marketing investment.

In this role, you will partner with company executives to execute a go-to-market plan for sales of subscriptions as well as individual market research products. As a key member of the commercial team, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Research and identify target customers for sales and marketing campaigns
  • Lead outreach to potential customers, including universities, government agencies, and companies
  • Develop campaign strategies and messaging across e-mail, phone, and in-person events
  • Engage in qualification calls to convert leads into active deals
  • Partner with executives to close key accounts
  • Leverage and maintain sales and marketing systems, including CRM and other essential databases.

This role offers high transaction volume and short deal cycles. It is ideal for experienced SDRs looking to build their experience in qualifying, managing, and closing deals, thereby  transitioning towards an Account Executive role.

Company leadership is based in Chicago. This position can be remote. Remote employees will be expected to travel to Chicago at least quarterly. This position includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; matching 401K contribution; generous PTO policy; and other benefits.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years in a B2B BDR/SDR role with a preference for experience in publishing, software, or technology products industry
  • Experience researching and generating prospect lists, leveraging databases such as LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo
  • Self-starter and self-manager, able to work in an environment with a high degree of autonomy
  • Aggressive, determined, and professional approach to direct sales conversations
  • Personal excitement about emerging technologies, possess an “inner techie”
  • Bachelor’s degree
