The U.S. government recently identified cybersecurity as “one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation,” and the threats are equally severe in countries across the globe…
With the growing volume and sophistication of cyber attacks, a new level of effort and expertise is required to protect sensitive and confidential information related to your university’s IP assets. Cybercriminals, competitors and even disgruntled employees are releasing sensitive information, taking intellectual property to competitors, and engaging in online fraud. There are millions of dollars at stake associated with your IP’s protection, as well as your university’s reputation, future research opportunities, and industry partnerships.
Even as universities redouble their efforts to “lock down” sensitive information, malicious attacks often outpace security patches. So what can you do to safeguard your trade secrets and IP?
