Your university has a vast inventory of research materials and tools — and these tools have significant licensing potential. The challenge is to find, categorize, and market them to create a new or expanded revenue stream for your TTO.

These tangible research materials, whether biological, chemical, physical, or otherwise represent significant untapped revenue. The key is identifying these materials and making them readily available for licensing via click-thru licenses for immediate revenue, and understanding the structure and negotiation strategy required for larger or bundled licenses.

To ensure you get maximum value from your research tool assets, Tech Transfer Central’s Distance Learning Division has partnered with attorney and UNeMed Business Development Manager Joe Runge for this detailed webinar:

Best Practices for Licensing Research Tools and Materials

Join us on April 21st when Mr. Runge will discuss how to overcome the many challenges to commercializing research tools – and how to make the most of its untapped potential, including:

  • How to identify valuable research tools and materials on your campus
  • How to make sure that you have or can get full ownership of commercial rights
  • Efficiently protecting research tools and materials on a TTO’s budget
  • Finding paying customers for your research tools and materials
  • Pricing and marketing your research tools and materials
  • License drafting techniques

Plus: Join in the Q&A to get your specific questions addressed.

Orders for all live programs will include up to five additional lines at no additional charge for staff within your organization who can attend remotely, and all live programs will include our digital package – the on-demand video and print transcript. These will be delivered soon after the live program with no extra fee.
